How to Create a Telegram Chatbot for Free in 2025

As digital technology advances in the fast-paced world of 2025, chatbots have emerged as a vital tool for both consumers and businesses looking to improve user experience and streamline communication. Telegram is the greatest platform for creating chatbots out of all the possibilities because of its robust features and intuitive UI. In addition, Telegram has great group management capabilities.

• Step One (Setting up the Account):

It’s really simple to link a Telegram account to the Botslawn platform. You must first search for BotFather on Telegram.

Type /start after selecting BotFather.

Enter /newbot. You will be prompted by BotFather to enter a bot name. This is when Botslawn demo comes in. We are then prompted to give the Bot a username.

As you can see the username is accepted. Please note, your user name should be a unique one to get accepted by BotFather.

Next, copy the HTTP API by clicking on that and jump to Botslawn’s Dashboard.

Navigate to the Botslawn’s Telegram section and click on Connect Bot. Paste the copied HTTP API to the Telegram Bot Token section and click on Connect.

Thus, your account should be connected. You should be able to see the account on the Connected Bots section if you scroll down the page.

• Step Two (Creating the Bot):

Now, navigate to the Bot Manager Section.

You can see your account is selected on the left side and currently you are in the Bot Reply section. Click on Create which will take you to the Visual Flow Builder.

Double click on the Start Bot Flow and the left window will open.

Now, type one or more trigger words and provide a suitable title for the bot. Save the bot by clicking on the Save button.

Click on Compose Next Message and take an Image. Double click on the Images section and upload an image and save it.

Next, click on Add Buttons. Double click on the button and give a button name. Select Redirect to Website URL when user presses the button. Copy and paste the website URL to the Web URL section. Save the button. Lastly, save the bot. Now, let’s see how the bot works.

•  Step Three (Testing the Bot):

Search for the bot with the bot link and click on start.

Now, type the trigger word ‘hi’. As you can see we have got the reply from the bot.

By clicking on the Go to Website button we will be redirected to the Botslawn’s website.
